Our perennial project concerning the improvement of environement-, health- and safety protection in the Chinese supply chain to Brugger GmbH was honoured from the German Chamber of Commerce in China and the Bertelsman Foundation as finalist at this years CSR-award „More than a Market“ in the category „Outstanding Supply Chain Management“.
Brugger succeeded in being the only medium-sized enterprise between well-known companies. The other finalists were REWE, METRO and common initiative of Evonik, BASF and Henkel. A great achievement for a small team!
The winner was the project „Star Farm“ of METRO Jinjiang Cash & Carry, where farmers are supported at the development of sustainable cultivation techniques
We are happy to contribute with the now officially „honoured“ project to the further development of the cooperation between Germany and China. The award moreover shows that the support of the DEG (German corporation for investment and development), instructed by the BMZ (Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche und technische Zusammenarbeit),with the amount of 42 % of the project costs was a good investment.
